Haiti

had incredible privilege to travel to Haiti for a few days. The objective was to set up missions opportunity for our summit students. Haiti is one of those countries that is LOUD in every sense. Its is not dirty, it is filthy…

The people are not poor, they are barely surviving. They don’t talk, they shout. Their roads are not broken, they are non-existent. Their taxi’s are not full, they are overloaded. Their ocean is not beautiful it is absolutely breathtaking…
The orphanage we visited has a story, no probably an epic of every little life there. The kids were not found, they were rescued …some from the bottom of a 30 foot deep public toilet. Little faces filled with pain and hope mixed into one.

The one little girl had a crooked arm. Her mom treated her so bad that her arm was broken, but never set by a doctor. She has burn marks all over her body and a huge scar on her tummy.

This girl reached out to me immediately. Did not leave me for one second. She kept holding on to my leg. Funny thing was when I looked down, she was standing with a $20 note she quietly took from my pocket
The orphanage has 30 kids. It was started and is being funded by audio adrenaline and some artists, but was hit extremely hard by the hurricanes that passed through the area. The river carried rock from the mountain; no, loads and loads and tons and tons of rock. A big portion of this place got buried in rock. Now their need is this… hands and lots of hands to help move the rock. We will be working hard toward sending our summit students there in the summer to help move some rock and hug some kids.
HaitiAs for me, Haiti left me feeling so thankful to be alive and living in the USA. A country where we are surrounded with hope, not only for us but for the nations of the earth…
